Spacious three bedroom terrace house for sale in Upper Leytonstone – large reception room, spacious kitchen diner, two bathrooms and more…
This spacious and well-presented three bedroom house lies in the sought after area of Upper Leytonstone, served by excellent local amenities and transport links. Ideal for family living, there are practical features and stylish touches throughout, as well as a garden, separate garage and access to some of London’s best green spaces.
This Edwardian terraced villa has retained much of its original architectural charm with full height bay windows and decorative panels. A large, low maintenance front garden leads to a good size porch where the original front door opens into a spacious hallway with extensive under stairs storage and a dark timber floor which continues into the reception. The reception room offers plenty of space, and offers a large period fireplace and full height bay window with views out to Hollow Ponds. At the end of the hall, the stylish kitchen diner looks out to the southwest facing garden through another bay window, with a fully glazed door and additional glazing flooding the room with light. A range of modern white base and wall cabinets in an L-shaped layout and separate island are complemented by compact laminate worktops. There’s an integrated high-level oven, smoked glass hob with stainless steel extractor and a double sink set into the island. Beyond the island, there’s room for a family dining table and additional free-standing storage. Off the dining area there are two additional rooms; a separate utility room with space for a washer and tumble dryer, and the downstairs bathroom – beautifully appointed with contemporary geometric pattern floor tiles, plus WC, wall mounted basin and a large bathtub with shower above. A practical touch includes direct access from the bathroom to the garden, ideal when hosting guests. The secure, fully fenced garden features a large patio with lawned area, and a gate allowing access to the separate garage from the adjacent street. Upstairs, the family shower room has been tastefully designed to be both practical and luxurious. There’s a large, glazed shower cubicle, a WC and vanity unit with top-mounted basin and wall-mounted taps. Bedroom three is a large single overlooking the rear garden, bedroom two is a good-sized double with a full wall of built-in wardrobes, and bedroom one is a large double which benefits from a lovely bay window and fabulous views out to calming green spaces. All the bedrooms feature original, restored floorboards. The property is situated in the sought after Upper Leytonstone area. The immediate vicinity is a popular residential area with all the transport links and amenities of vibrant Leytonstone just a few minutes away. Leytonstone Central Line Tube Station is a 15-minute walk and several bus routes can be accessed in less than 5 minutes. There’s easy access to the A12 which will get you to the North Circular and M11 within just a few minutes. There’s a large supermarket within half a mile and many other shops and amenities very close by on the popular Leytonstone High Road. The area is well regarded for its many pubs, bars and restaurants, including Out of the Woods café, Wrong Man Snack Shack (try their ‘jaffle’ toasties!) which is located at The Hitchcock Hotel Bar/restaurant and the highly rated North Star Pub, which is in the lovely conservation area of Bushwood. This also a perfect location if you enjoy the great outdoors, with some of London’s best green spaces close by. Hollow Pond and Leyton Flats are literally across the road and Wanstead Flats, Hackney Marshes and the Walthamstow Wetlands Nature Reserve are within easy reach.
Sellers commentsI moved into the property 5 years ago and fully renovated it so the kitchen and two bathrooms are all still pretty new, it also includes a new porch roof and drive. Im only moving due to personal reasons. It's lovely and quiet, the neighbours both sides are quiet whilst out the front is Hollow Ponds, and at back the garage area, so pretty much no one overlooks the garden.
I had a new lawn put in this summer, in addition to the flower bed the year before and there are some perennial spring and summer flowers.
It's so convenient and lovely to be opposite a part of Epping Forest, and the Hitchcock pub a few doors up, with just a short walk to Leytonstone village. I'm sure you will love living here as much as I do.
